Good things take time and effort. We started Red Clouds Collective to bring to life products inspired by our lifestyles and the people who share our values: our love of exploring the world and our belief in living a life that fulfills your creative appetite.

We love how products that are crafted with care feel in your hand—that they feel alive and have character, that they wear in, not out. Drawing inspiration from old-time tools and apparel that have proven themselves timeless, we hope to reinvent each piece with more functional materials, better fits, greater comfort, and a longer life.

We are not selling you a marketing plan or something that has been mass produced. We’re crafting pieces for people who care where their products come from—who understand that things can be made better and last longer —and we are dedicated to this way of work and life.

Who We Are

We are a company of craftsman with a wide array of interests and disciplines—artists, designers, musicians, woodworkers, motorcycle mechanics, skateboarders, and photographers.  Over the years, we’ve always done things with our hands. A lifetime of tinkering, crafting, and creating—not to mention a lifetime of adventure—remains the inspiration that fuels our designs and our line.

Our Process

Our products are born from necessity. Each one is thoughtfully designed to make life a little easier, and they’re all built to last a lifetime.

A product passes through many stages before it reaches your hands, including the idea phase, design/functionality, and, of course, testing. We thoroughly test everything—and by that we mean beat it to the ground. If the product survives, we hope it’s with elegance. Our goal is that each piece be timeless both in durability and in style.

We use materials that we believe in and work as a small team to make sure everything is carefully made. This involves traditional techniques, some modern machines, and creating a new process every time we develop a new piece. It’s imperative to have the right tool for the job, and sometimes we have to make a tool in order to get the job done.

The Best Possible Materials

Working steadily to build the best-possible pieces, we focus on sourcing high-quality, traditional materials that are made in America.
Our products are primarily crafted from the following :

Herman Oak Leather

Vegetable Tanned Leather from Hermann Oak—a St. Louis, Missouri-based tannery that has been tanning leather using extracts of tree bark in the traditional method since 1881.

Waxed Canvas

Waxed Canvas from Fairfield Textile, a specialized American manufacturer based in Bridgeton, New Jersey that has been crafting fabric since 1838.

Cone Mills Selvage Denim

Selvage Denim from Cone Mills’ White Oak Plant in North Carolina, woven on vintage 1940s fly-shuttle looms that give each piece of fabric a unique depth and dimension.
